Hi guys, My name is Laura, I’m 32 years old and baking has been my dream and passion since I was in high school. When I left high school, I went on to Catering and Hospitality at college but due to health reasons I was unable to complete anything past the first year. Over the years I’ve spent many hours creating my own recipes and learning those that I’ve found, unfortunately my health never improved enough for me to get back into the kitchen on a professional level, in 2013 my health went further downhill and I found it increasingly difficult to be able to stand for long periods of time so I ended up giving up on my dream and I stopped baking. This year has been a turning point for me, I have a new home, a wonderful boyfriend who’s supporting me no matter what, a very hyperactive puppy and I’ve been able to do what I love the most and pick up baking again. Although I currently lack the qualifications that I desire, I spend every day trying to improve in the area I’m weaker at, namely cake decoration. I’m currently doing an online course for a Cupcake Diploma which will help me improve on these areas, and I’m planning on continuing my education with further online courses. I’m currently selling my delicious desserts to my boyfriends colleagues and giving away a few freebies for them to test and give feedback on. My primary goal is to guarantee the food tastes amazing whilst continuously working developing my skills in cake decorating and presentation. I offer a wide variety of sweets, savoury and even healthy natural treats for the fur babies. I’m currently looking at adding some healthier options to the menu, whilst researching alternative recipes for allergy sufferers and those with special dietary requirements.
